Full Members are academic institutions that are AACSB-accredited and have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to undergraduate international business education through development of an academic program (degree, major or concentration) in international business.  Full membership is attained by successfully completing a review process that includes an evaluation of the institution’s IB programs and an on-campus visit conducted by two members of CUIBE’s Membership Committee. There is an application fee of $1,000.00 and an annual dues assessment of $500.00.

Applications for Full Member status can be initiated by completing and submitting the attached Membership Application and remitting the application fee and annual dues.  Pending completion of the review, applicants for Full Member status will be immediately granted Associate Member status.

Requirements for Full Membership

  • A school must be AACSB accredited.
  • The school should have a separate degree, major or concentration in international business that includes: At least four true international business courses. A “true” international business course has content focused on international or global business and has a cross border orientation.
  • The school should have a formal language preparation program
  • The school should have overseas experience and activities such as study abroad, internships and/ or study tours that are a part of its international business curriculum and directly contribute to a student’s education and degree,
  • The school should have an identifiable dedicated internal and external governance structure for its international business program curriculum.
  • The school should have an International Business Club or some other student-run organization relating to international business.
